1. Legal Entity & Corporate Structure

GermanGenie ("GermanGenie", "Service", or "Product") is a digital software product, mobile application, and brand wholly owned, developed, and operated by Charis Partners LLC ("Charis Partners LLC", "Company", "we", "us", or "our").

All commercial transactions, legal rights, intellectual property ownership, customer agreements, and liability obligations pertaining to GermanGenie reside exclusively with Charis Partners LLC.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, downloading, registering for, or using the GermanGenie website, mobile applications, or associated services, you agree to enter into a legally binding agreement with Charis Partners LLC governed by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

3. Permitted Use & Account Responsibilities

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use GermanGenie for personal, non-commercial language learning purposes. You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service, proprietary algorithms, or AI prompts.
  • Use automated bots, scrapers, or scripts to extract vocabulary datasets or curriculum content.
  • Share, rent, or resell your user credentials to third parties.
  • Abuse generative AI chat interfaces to create offensive, harmful, or unlawful content.

Account Deletion: You have the permanent right to delete your account and all associated personal learning data at any time directly within the GermanGenie mobile app (via Settings > Account > Delete Account) or via web dashboard. Upon confirmation, your account, credentials, and data are immediately and permanently erased.

4. Subscriptions, Auto-Renewal & In-App Purchases (Apple & Google)

GermanGenie offers optional auto-renewable premium subscriptions ("GermanGenie Pro" Monthly and Annual plans) as well as one-time Lifetime access.

Auto-Renewable Subscription Terms (App Store Review Guideline 3.1.2):

  • Payment: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID (iTunes Account) or Google Play Account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • Renewal Charges: Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing period at the then-current price of the selected plan.
  • Managing & Canceling: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time by going to your device's Account Settings after purchase (on iOS: Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current active billing period.
  • Free Trial: Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription to that publication, where applicable.

Standard End User License Agreement (EULA): In addition to these Terms, use of the GermanGenie iOS application is subject to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Apple Standard EULA).

5. Intellectual Property Rights

All materials within the Service — including but not limited to the GermanGenie logo, name, trademark, code, design system, interactive lessons, audio recordings, and visual assets — are the exclusive intellectual property of Charis Partners LLC.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties & AI Limitations

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive for absolute accuracy, generative AI explanations and dialogue responses are intended for educational assistance and may occasionally contain inaccuracies.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Charis Partners LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your access to or inability to use the Service.
